Job Summary & Responsibilities

Nevro Corp. has a need for a Quality Test Engineer II with a strong electro-mechanical engineering background. In this role, the candidate will Evaluates the electrical and mechanical characteristics of systems and/or integrated circuits, components, sub-components and systems to determine the cause of failure, including the verification of analog and digital performance. Analyzes failure reports and recommends corrective action. Develops methods, processes, and procedures that will improve the failure analysis process and/or reduce failures. This is an internal customer facing position that requires good listening, verbal and written communication skills in order to accurately present technical.

 

  • Manage and maintain the product investigation lab
  • Collaborate with appropriate technical, Clinical, Field/Sales and/or returned product analysis employees to ensure complaint investigations are adequate, accurate, detailed and timely.
  • Analyze product complaints. Confirm complaint and determines root causes, when possible.
  • Adapt or refine test procedures to properly address customer complaints
  • Design and develop test equipment and test specification
  • Differentiate between hardware and software failures.
  • Perform board level circuit analysis
  • Identify failure modes and root cause
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Role Requirements

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering with 2-5 years performing product investigation or equivalent years of experience may be substituted for the education requirement

 

Skills and Knowledge

  • Extensive experience with analog and digital circuits
  • Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills along with good presentation and be able to work in a team environment or independently
  • Experience solving system problems
  • Experience working in a biohazard investigation lab
  • Have experience using test electronic equipment (Digital Storage Oscilloscope, Power supply, frequency generator)
  • Be able to read and understand technical drawings, datasheets, and written work
  • Proficient with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Electronic Engineering field
  • Proficient using standard assembly tools: cutters, crimpers, soldering irons, pin insertion/removal tools, and torque tools and takes initiative and proactively seeks quality solutions through continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of various quality tools such as root cause analysis
  • Use hand and power tools to build, disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble and test circuit board assemblies as required.
  • Must have good analytical and problem solving skills

 

 

Target Pay Range

$41/hr - $56/hr. The final starting salary offer to the successful candidate will be determined by evaluating several factors, such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, alignment with market data, and geography. *Nevro is a multi-state employer, so the target pay range may increase or decrease depending on the city/state.
