Job Summary & Responsibilities

This position reports to the Sr Manager Credit & Collections and Invoicing Services and requires a highly skilled Sr. Credit and AR Analyst that possesses strong business acumen. Time management and organizational skills are essential in managing and analyzing an assigned customer portfolio with the focus on determining the best approach to collecting maximum revenue and reducing the accounts receivable DSO.

  • Analyze customer credit risk and establish credit limits utilizing credit reports
  • Candidate must be a team player with a high level of personal motivation, able to work independently, able to work on multiple tasks/projects concurrently and meet multiple competing deadlines
  • Interface with the sales team and administrative staff in effort to mitigate and resolve all customer disputes, cash flow concerns or any collection issue, which delays timely payment 
  • Manage an assigned customer portfolio
  • Reconcile accounts to maintain cleanliness, and ensure credits/cash are applied in a timely matter
  • Proactively monitor customer accounts to determine if accounts should be placed on credit hold to reduce risk of bad debt
  • Assist with month/quarter-end reporting
  • Provide exemplary judgment and decision making related to daily orders release based on our SOX narrative
  • Investigate and resolve short payments and disputed charges
  • Strong knowledge of D&B, Experian and Credit safe reporting
  • Ensure compliance with all internal audit requirements and adherence to SOX controls
  • Assist with audit and compliance activities as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Role Requirements

  • BS/BA required in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting or 4-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Equivalent years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement

Skills and Knowledge

  • Advanced Excel/reporting skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse groups cross-functionally
  • Detail oriented, organized, and demonstrated ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly, with limited supervision
  • Team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a demonstrated focus on process improvement
  • Flexible time schedule as this function requires some evening quarter-end credit activities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with QAD and a plus
  • Experience in the Medical Device industry a plus
