    Job Summary & Responsibilities

    Sr. Product Manager (Upstream) will represent marketing in new product development for the assigned product category. He/she will help prioritize product development opportunities, assess market requirements, and collaborate closely with the development team to ensure that unmet needs are addressed and market input is translated into product requirements. The position will draft the launch strategy and support downstream marketing in global launch execution.

    • Lead upstream marketing activities for assigned product category.
    • Identify new product opportunities, prioritize various product opportunities, and drive alignment across the organization. Identify product gaps and update product/feature requests. Develop platform strategies for assigned product category.
    • Perform detailed financial analysis for opportunity assessment and scenario modeling.
    • Represent marketing during the product development process, ensuring that products meet global customer needs.
    • Gather and test market requirements through market research.
    • Help lead product launch process with downstream marketing in collaboration with R&D and other cross-functional teams.
    • Be the expert on assigned product category, including market and competitive trends.
    • Spend significant time in the field (20-30%) with sales personnel, KOLs, customers and industry conferences to understand market stakeholder needs, ideas, and to stay at the forefront of market dynamics and trends.
    • Support post-market surveillance.

    Role Requirements

    • MBA from a top school.
    • Years of experience can be substitute for the education.
    • 3-7 years of post-MBA experience in the medical device field in product development and planning.

    Skills and Knowledge

    • Upstream marketing experience
    • Strong team player who can incorporate input from others and can generate consensus through inclusion.
    • Strong thinker and creative thinker who is intellectually curious.
    • Sound decision making capabilities.
    • Good organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities. Ability to routinely work on multiple tasks with multiple people while effectively prioritizing.
    • Ability to develop strong relationships with customers, clinical & sales partners.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences.
    • Prior neuromodulation experience a plus.
    • Project Management experience.
    • Travel up to 30%.
