    Overview

    Nevro Corp. is seeking an experienced contract manager or paralegal to work directly within its Legal Department to review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts related to the business. This role will report directly to the Managing Counsel who supports the General Counsel. This position offers a great opportunity to gain exposure to the business, legal and compliance needs of a fast-growing medical device company. The Commercial Contracts Manager will be required to work cross-functionally amongst all departments and interact with a wide variety of business stakeholders, including company VPs, Directors, and Managers.

    Role Requirements

    • 8+ years of working with contracts in the life sciences sector.
    • The ability to review, draft, negotiate, and manage sales and purchase agreements, HIPAA business associate agreements, nondisclosure agreements, healthcare provider consulting agreements, and vendor service agreements.
    • A high legal, business, and emotional I.Q. to assist internal clients on contract interpretation and negotiation strategies set by the legal department.
    • The capacity to articulate key legal and business rational to external parties during contract negotiation.
    • Experience identifying legal and business risks to ensure compliance with legal department requirements and company policy.
    • The ability to manage the organization, filing, and signature process of company contracts.
    • Experience with contract management systems.

    Skills and Knowledge

    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
    • Strong written, verbal and organizational skills.
    • Strong MS Office skills – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
    • Familiarity with SalesForce.com, Apttus or other contract management systems and DocuSign.
    • Ability to process a high volumes of diverse contracts with accuracy and minimal supervision
    • The ability to multi-task numerous legal projects and to work well under pressure.
    • Experience working cross-functionally with internal customers from Finance, Marketing, Sales, Operations, R&D and HR.
    • Experience negotiating contracts with vendors, hospital systems, healthcare providers and group purchasing organizations.
    • Highly motivated, positive, professional, friendly and team-oriented attitude.
    • Willing to work without administrative support.
