    Overview

    The Facilities Assistant , reporting to the Director of IT, is responsible for a wide variety of daily maintenance, supply, and inventory duties.  This position is responsible for the Company’s existing facilities, primarily consisting of the corporate headquarters in Redwood City, CA as well as a warehouse facility in San Carlos, CA.

    • Plan, perform, and/or supervise general maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the facility (including grounds).
    • Perform uncomplicated spot cleaning and furniture assembly, as needed.
    • Conducts preliminary evaluations of plumbing, electrical and HVAC incidents.
    • Implements all moves (additions and changes). Performs new employee setups and office preparation.
    • Maintains master plans of office and facility layouts and CAD/PDF files related to facility.
    • Responds to emergencies at the facility as needed.
    • Provides input on opportunities for continuous quality improvement.
    • Communicates with the property management, vendors and contractors on facilities related matters.
    • Ensures adherence and compliance to company facility standards, policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with OSHA and other state/local regulations.
    • Assists with on-site and off-site document storage.
    • Will take an active role in emergency and disaster preparedness planning.
    • Participates on capacity planning.
    • Performs other related duties as may be assigned or required.

    Skills and Knowledge

    • High School Diploma or Higher
    • Ability to identify and resolve or appropriately escalate problems.
    • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and professionally (verbally and in writing) with internal and external clients.
    • Ability to plan and execute projects as well as be hands-on in resolving issues.
    • Ability to plan proactively and demonstrate initiative.
    • Ability to organize, prioritize, multitask and handle interruptions and/or rush projects.
