    Nevro is seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager (Upstream) to represent marketing in product development and launch planning for our next generation products and accessories.


    You’ve been an integral part of developing and launching an implanted medical device and now you’re ready to manage a portfolio of upstream products through commercialization.  You will become an expert in user needs across all stakeholders and translating those needs into product development requirements throughout the full product lifecycle.  You will own product performance and the patient/clinician experience and will draft the launch strategy and support downstream marketing in global launch execution.

    • Lead upstream marketing activities for assigned products and accessories
    • Collaborate closely with the R&D and Clinical teams to ensure that unmet needs are addressed and market input is translated into product requirements and solutions.
    • Work with R&D to drive and manage vendors in executing to a common goal under aggressive timelines.
    • Help lead product launch process with downstream marketing in collaboration with R&D, Clinical organizations and other cross-functional teams.
    • Demonstrate product management skills (market opportunity and user need identification, product vision & strategy formation, goal/KPI setting & monitoring, product definition & development, business case development, competitive positioning & pricing, roadmap, release plan & management).
    • Be the expert on assigned product and therapeutic category, including market and competitive trends.
    • Responsible for project and product performance and reporting; the single point of contact for key stakeholders including executives, medical partners, marketing, engineering, QA, regulatory, operations, and legal.
    • Spend significant time in the field (20-30%) with sales personnel, KOLs, customers and at industry conferences to understand market stakeholder needs, ideas, and to stay at the forefront of market dynamics and trends.
    • Support post-market surveillance.
    • Perform other related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.


    Role Requirements

    • 2+ years of post-MBA experience in medical device or biotech marketing, or 5+ years of medical device or biotech marketing
    • Travel up to 30%.

    Skills and Knowledge

    • Upstream marketing or Product Management experience in medical device.
    • Strong team player who can incorporate input from others and can generate consensus through inclusion.
    • Strong thinker and creative thinker who is intellectually curious.
    • Prior neuromodulation experience a plus.
    • Sound decision making capabilities.
    • Good organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities. Ability to routinely work on multiple tasks with multiple people while effectively prioritizing.
    • Ability to develop strong relationships with customers, clinical & sales partners.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences.
