Overview

The Electrical Engineering R&D Intern shall participate in research and product development activities ranging from product concept through transfer to manufacturing. This position will apply diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices for development of Nevro product

  • Measurement of electrical characteristics of prototype medical devices using oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and other common electronic measurement instruments.
  • Electronic rework of small PCB assemblies under a microscope.
  • Setup and operation of test fixtures and collection of test data.
  • Participation in the design of prototype electronic circuits, PCB layout, fabrication, and assembly.
  • New PCB board bring-up and characterization.
  • Able to work in a regulated environment in accordance with internal operating procedures and external standards and regulations.
  • Preparation and presentation of R&D test reports.

 

Role Requirements

  • Working towards an M.S. or B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
  • Completion of at least two hands-on electrical engineering lab courses.
  • Completion of at least one electrical engineering hardware project of moderate to high complexity.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Hands-on electrical engineering lab experience and completion of at least 2 years of college coursework in an accredited electrical engineering program.
