Nevro is a medical device company headquartered in Redwood City, California. We have developed HF10™ therapy, an innovative, evidence-based neuromodulation platform for the treatment of chronic pain.

We started with a simple mission to help more patients suffering from chronic pain. At each stage of development, our research was subject to the highest levels of scientific rigor, resulting in a new therapy that has advanced the state of spinal cord stimulation (SCS).

The Nevro® Senza® SCS System received CE mark in 2010, TGA approval in 2011, FDA approval in 2015, and is commercially available in Europe, Australia, and the United States.

Overview

The Talent Acquisition Intern will learn and execute on real projects within the Talent Acquisition team and learn end-to end recruiting process. This will encompass building candidate generation strategies (leveraging social channels), researching people with specific expertise, contacting individuals directly to discuss role, shadow experience Recruiting Coordinators and Recruiters to learn the interview process, debriefing with interview teams and/or candidates, negotiating and crafting offers.

 

Intern will also be assigned a project over the summer to expand his/hers learnings and bring a millennial mindset to our organization. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Arrange candidate interviews; liaise with recruiters, candidates and hiring team members.
  • Ensure debrief meetings are set up.
  • Assist with talent acquisition including sourcing, recruitment and evaluation of the technical skills of potential candidates.
  • Identify areas of improvement for the candidate experience.
  • Administrative duties including answering phones, job postings, interview scheduling, filing and onboarding new hires.
  • Collaborating with social media professionals within Nevro to further develop and maintain our employment branding messaging, materials and campaigns.
  • Partnering with Recruiters to execute crowd sourcing and other social media strategies focused on engaging a variety of professional organizations, schools and functionally-specific groups to grow our candidate pools.
  • Assist in all aspects of recruitment including posting jobs, meeting with hiring managers, reviewing resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews, extending and negotiating offers and overseeing on boarding processes.
  • Use Applicant Tracking System to effectively move candidates through the recruiting process.
  • Learning how to source candidates for full time positions using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools
  • Attend department meetings and events to learn HR best practices and develop more creative messaging for job postings and outreach

 

 

Role Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree seeking program (College Sophomore or above, or graduate student)

Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data and information
  • Must be open to learning in a team environment and willing to take on responsibility for your own projects as well as assist with other pieces of HR
  • Superior organizational skills; results-focus with superb execution and follow-through; highly detail-oriented; self-motivated to learn and flexible; thrives in an fast paced environment
  • Ability to juggle numerous scheduling tasks at once
  • Tough-minded but able to be flexible when the situation demands it, able to think on feet, ability to engage in searching, critical discussion without personalizing outcomes
  • Proficient at using Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
