The intern will assist the Inventory Control Analyst in maintaining accurate and effective control of material flow through our operations. They will work closely with our suppliers, assembly houses, distribution centers and field personnel in the cycle count and physical inventory process. This person may have similar responsibilities in assisting other members of the Materials team.


  • Perform cycle count function and coordinate cycle counting with off-site contractors, warehouses, and with field personnel
  • Analyze physical inventory and cycle count results for accuracy
  • Conduct or coordinate recounts as required.
  • Reconcile inventory movement from raw material receipt to finished goods shipment across multiple organizations/contractors to ensure accuracy
  • Input and maintain data in Excel and ERP systems
  • Work with materials team to identify and implement corrective action to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Work with the suppliers, contractors, and field personnel to review procedures for compliance and to improve systems to meet company goals
  • Maintain and distribute metrics depicting status of inventory accuracy
  • Assist other members for the materials team with clerical responsibilities as time allows

Role Requirements

  • Working toward Bachelor’s Degree with Operations or Business coursework
  • Some experience in inventory control desirable

Skills and Knowledge

  • Some experience in inventory control desirable
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Understanding of business, financial and quality/traceability impact of the inventory processes
  • Excellent follow through and organization skills with a focus on accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment to accomplish goals while multitasking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
