Overview

Nevro Corp is seeking a Contract Manager with 5 or more years of transactional and in-house corporate experience in life sciences to join its legal department and assist with the review, negotiation, and management of company contracts. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can thrive in our fast paced and growing company culture.

Role Requirements

  • 8 years of overall work experience and a minimum of 5 years of relevant in-house legal and contracts experience in the Life Sciences industry
  • Review, draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of legal documents for various company departments, including pricing agreements, nondisclosure agreements, consulting agreements, business associate agreements, research and development agreements, supply and manufacture agreements, licensing and software agreements, and vendor service agreements.
  • Advise internal clients on contract interpretation and negotiation strategies; identify and address legal and business risks; ensure compliance with legal department requirements and company policy.
  • Manage company’s corporate governance requirements for all company agreements.
  • Assist with implementation and management of company’s Contracts Management System: Apttus.
  • Perform work and assist with other projects assigned by the Director of Legal Affairs.

Skills and Knowledge

  • JD from an ABA accredited law school preferred
  • Strong written, verbal and organizational skills.
  • Strong MS Office skills – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Familiarity with SalesForce.com, Apttus, and DocuSign.
  • Ability to process a high volumes of diverse contracts with accuracy and minimal supervision, multi-task numerous legal projects and to work well under pressure.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal customers from Finance, Marketing, Sales, Operations, R&D and HR.
  • Experience negotiating contracts with vendors, hospital systems, healthcare providers and Group Purchasing Organizations.
  • Highly motivated, positive, professional, friendly and team-oriented attitude.
  • Willing to work without administrative support.
  • Enjoys working with contracts.
