Nevro is a medical device company headquartered in Redwood City, California. We have developed HF10™ therapy, an innovative, evidence-based neuromodulation platform for the treatment of chronic pain.

We started with a simple mission to help more patients suffering from chronic pain. At each stage of development, our research was subject to the highest levels of scientific rigor, resulting in a new therapy that has advanced the state of spinal cord stimulation (SCS).

The Nevro® Senza® SCS System received CE mark in 2010, TGA approval in 2011, FDA approval in 2015, and is commercially available in Europe, Australia, and the United States.

Overview

This position will develop, direct, execute and lead the strategic sales business strategy that positions our product portfolio for accelerated growth in each customer segment of our business. Strengthen our market position through unique contracting and pricing strategies that create competitive advantages for the product portfolio while continuously enhancing market knowledge & expertise on the changing healthcare landscape. 

Role Requirements

  • Partner within the Market Access team and Sales organization to establish appropriate pricing and contracting at large hospital and ASC systems
  • Partner with the sales team to foster relationships with key accounts and develop strategies for local and national programs and agreements
  • Work with cross-functional partners to respond to RFPs
  • Identify, develop and maintain effective internal and external business relationships; ensure key contacts are maintained throughout the sales process
  • Work closely with cross-functionally to drive collaboration and improve return on investment for Nevro
  • Help educate the salesforce on changing healthcare environment, buying trends, value creation, supply chain initiatives, reimbursement, accountable care, etc. 
  • Provide timely, informative data that enables senior management to make effective pricing and programming decisions
  • Develop and implement summary and exception reports to validate program performance; present results of programs to management
  • Partner with Finance, Marketing, Sales Operations and Pricing Teams to better analyze, assess and process contracting / pricing related decisions
  • Identify opportunities to maximize business by converting various GPO and IDN agreements from competitive accounts
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years work experience in medical device or similar field
  • Equivalent years of experience may be substituted for education requirement
  • MBA from a tier-1 school a plus

Skills and Knowledge

  • Prior neuromodulation experience a plus
  • Versatile individual who can wear many hats in the organization given Nevro’s extreme growth
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with customers, clinical & sales partners
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including sales & marketing leadership
  • Strong team player who can incorporate input from others and can generate consensus through inclusion
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Strong analytical skills and decision making capabilities
  • Good organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities. Ability to routinely work on multiple tasks with multiple people while effectively prioritizing
  • Strong thinker and creative thinker who is intellectually curious Ability to speak up when important information or questions must be raised and takes action when issues must be addressed
  • Ability to work in hospitals, operating rooms, clinics, and surgical centers.
  • Domestic travel up to 40%
